10 things you should know about Elder Keetch

Elder Von G. Keetch is serving as a General Authority Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Keetch will be speaking at devotional this week. Here are 10 things to know before you attend:

  1. He was born in Provo, Utah, on March 17, 1960.
  2. He served a full-time mission in Germany.
  3. He married Loretta Bernice Pymm in November 1981.
  4. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from BYU in 1984.
  5. He received a juris doctorate degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU in 1987.
  6. He served as a judicial clerk to Judge George C. Pratt of the United States Court of Appeals.
  7. He also served as a judicial clerk to two Chief Justices of the United States Supreme Court.
  8. He practiced law at Kirton McConkie from 1990-2015.
  9. He has served as a bishop’s counselor, stake president’s counselor, stake president and area seventy.
  10. He and his wife have six children.

    Actually, Elder Keetch clerked for one former Supreme Court Justice. He did however clerk for another member of the United States Supreme Court.
