13 things to know about Paul Edwards before you go to devotional

Paul Edwards is currently the editor and publisher of the Deseret News in Salt Lake City for the last five years. Here are 13 things to know about him before you listen to him in Tuesday’s devotional.

  1. He currently lives in Highland, Utah.
  2. Edwards and his wife, Margo Robinson, are the parents of four children.
  3. He served a mission in Geneva, Switzerland.
  4. Edwards graduated with university honors from BYU where he studied history.
  5. He studied French language and culture at the Sorbonne (University of Paris).
  6. Edwards obtained a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
  7. He received a doctorate’s degree in jurisprudence and social policy from the University of California at Berkeley.
  8. He served as executive vice president and provost at Southern Virginia University.
  9. Edwards served as the president of the Mercatus Center at George Mason University
  10. He was the vice president for academic affairs at the Institute for Humane Studies and George Mason.
  11. Edwards taught political science at BYU.
  12. Edwards served as a Judicial Law Clerk on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
