General Conference Saturday Morning 2012

New Change in Missionary Age brings both Excitement and Shock

Reporter Andrea Olson attended General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday October 6, 2012 and talked with BYU-Idaho students and others about their ideas and opinions on the new change on missionary ages. The earliest age for a young man to be able to serve his mission was 19 while a young woman was 21. Now, the Prophet Thomas S. Monson of the church has announced a new age for both.

I love playin basketball and being outdoors doing anything. I love summer! Fireworks, being at the lake, riding horses, sleeping outside, playing in basketball tournaments, 4 - wheeling, concerts, everthing about summer! My favorite season though is basketball season, my family lives inside a gym all winter long! I love hangin out with friends! I have the best roommates ever! And I love being with my family. My brothers and sister are my best friends and my parents are my inspiration and greatest support, I love them so much!
