Elder Michael T. Ringwood was sustained a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 4, 2009, and he will be the speaker in Tuesdays devotional. Here are nine things to know about him before attending devotional.
Michael Tally Ringwood was born in Provo, Utah, on Feb. 14, 1958.
Elder Ringwood graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from BYU in 1983.
He married Rosalie Nelson in December 1982 in the Jordan River Temple.
In 1986, he became vice president of the Huntsman Corporation and remained there for 14 years.
In 2000, he became the president of Bear Creek Foods and recently was named the president and chief financial officer of Packsize LLC.
He was also a member of the Board of Advisers at the BYU School of Accountancy.
Elder Ringwood served a full-time missionary in the Korea Seoul Mission.
He has also served in many church callings including, bishop, high councilor, high priests group leader, Scoutmaster, stake president, and mission president. He is currently serving at Church headquarters.
They are the parents of five children and reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.
