Barbara Nelson is an Exercise Physiology professor at BYU-Idaho. After meeting her husband at Ricks College her freshman year, she went to Utah State University to pursue her bachelors degree. She now holds three jobs. She is a clinician at a local women’s organization in Idaho Falls, a member of the Idaho Falls Board of Health and is a professor at BYU-I. Her hope is that her students will learn how to change their lifestyles to be more functional, healthy students. She works a cole times a week at the Women’s Clinic helping women improve their health and lifestyles. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and twin daughters, and training for triathalons and Ironmans around the country. Her family has traveled to China several times to get away from the stresses of work. They love to travel whenever they can, all over the U.S. to various marathons and Ironmans, or on family vacations wherever they can.
