Broken Water Line Shuts Down Roads

by Sydney Jensen

Police were dispatched to South First East Sunday morning as water gushed down the street, reaching all the way to Café Rio.

The minor flooding came as a result of a broken water line, caused by a sinkhole on a street above Riviera apartments, according to an email to residents of Riviera.

Flooding was stopped within a few hours and no damages to local residents or complexes have been reported. Part of South First East is now blocked off as the construction crews began work on the road this morning. Residents are advised to find other routes to campus.
