BYU-I announces Winter Semester 2016 commencement speaker

BYU-Idaho University Relations announced Elder Ronald A. Rasband, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, as the speaker for the Winter Semester 2016 commencement, which will be held April 8.

Elder Rasband will be speaking to over 2,000 graduates, according to the press release. Of those graduates, 472 will receive their associate’s degrees and 1,565 will receive their bachelor’s degree.

A ticket will be required to attend the commencement, according to the Winter Semester 2016 Graduation Web page. Tickets will be available for pick-up beginning March 28 and can be claimed either on the Ticket Office Web page or in person at the University Store.

Elder Rasband was called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on Oct. 3, 2015, and has previously served as the senior president of the Presidency of the Seventy, according to lds.org.
