Rexburg mother Emmilia Hammond passed away in her home on Wednesday, April 4, only five months after the death of her husband, BYU-Idaho English teacher Darin Hammond.

According to Idaho State Journal, the teacher’s body was found by a hunter in his pickup truck near Moody in November 2017, and police ruled out foul play. Emmilia Hammond’s death is still under investigation, according to East Idaho News.

According to gofundme.com, a “Help the Hammonds” fundraiser, started by a family friend, has over half of the $10,000 goal to support the couple’s four children, ages 11, 12, 15 and 18.
