Crepe Corner Impresses BYU-I Students

The Crossroads offers a variety of food for the students here on campus: most recently, the Crepe Corner. The Crepe Corner was Todd Huchendorf, General Manager for the University Food Services’, idea.

“Yeah, he had an idea and he ran with it, and it’s turned out really great, I mean, tons of students were like, why didn’t we have this sooner?” Said Stephanie McGinnis, a junior studying horticulture.

The Crepe Corner, which has been open since the beginning of the semester, has been a big hit with students.

“Well, I have regulars now, and so like today, the person who came up here was like, ‘Oh, I’ll just have the usual,’ and I was like, ‘Can you remind me again what that one is?’ So, but they love it, I mean, people get so shocked, they’ll walk around here and be like, ‘Oh my goodness, there’s a Crepe Corner’, you know?” McGinnis said.

The Crepe Corner offers five delicious flavors—Nutella & fruit; Whipped Cream, Toasted Coconut & Pineapple; and Raspberry & Cream. They also offer a special Japanese Ice Cream Crepe, with Reed’s Dairy ice cream.

One of the unique features of the Crepe Corner is that you can watch your food being made in front of you.

“I love how they make it,” said Danielle Bush, a sophomore studying dance and psychology. “It’s kinda cool how they have like, this huge, gigantic platter, and they just like, swirl it around.”

The Crepe Corner is open from 8:30 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday.

“I mean, it’s great to know that the crepes I make, make people happy, make them want to come again and again.” McGinnis said.

“It’s like, my tenth time.” Bush laughed.
