Tickets for David Archuleta’s concert at BYU-Idaho went on sale Monday, May 2, at 8 a.m. The former American Idol contestant will perform June 3 and 4 in the John W. Hart Building at 7:30 p.m.
“Since we sold out so quickly when David performed here in December, we wanted to bring him back so others could have a chance to hear him,” said Don Sparhawk, the Center Stage concert coordinator, according to BYU-I Newsroom.
Tickets for Archuleta’s last concert on campus sold out in one day, according to BYU-I Newsroom.
Archuleta became a star in 2008 after more than 30 million television viewers watched him compete on season seven of American Idol, according to Archuleta’s website.
The pop star’s first single, “Crush,” debuted No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the week of its release, according to Archuleta’s website.
In 2012, Archuleta put his singing career on hold so he could serve a mission in the Chile Rancagua Mission, according to BYU-I Newsroom.
Tickets are $20 for students and employees and $35 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office in the Spencer W. Kimball Student and Administrative Services Building or online at www.byui.edu/tickets.
