College can be a stressful time, with trying to manage a personal life, maintaining your grades and doing your best to fulfill your callings at church. Some days, it’s too hard to take the time and energy to make an elaborate meal, so here are a few lazy or stressful day meal ideas.

Baked Chicken

Grab some chicken, season it and just pop it into the oven. Let it cook while you finish up with some homework or watch a show on Netflix. For a hardier meal, chop up some potatoes and put those in the oven. It takes roughly the same amount of time for chicken breast and chopped potatoes to cook.


Wraps are a fun twist on the traditional sandwich, they both rquire the same ingredients:Turkey or any other lunch meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato. It’s simple to make and easy to mix and match your favorite ingredients.

Minute Rice Bowl

Rice bowls are the answer when you only have a couple of ingredients in your fridge and can’t handle the thought of going to the store. Just chop up any vegetable you have in your fridge, add some sauce, and mix that in with some minute rice for a great vegetarian rice bowl.

Cream Cheese and Strawberry Sandwich

This very simple and healthy recipe is great if you are feeling a little overwhelmed but still want quick, delicious lunch. The recipe only has three ingredients: bread, cream cheese and strawberries. This recipe is also very customizable, the strawberries can be swapped out for any other fresh fruit.

Rotisserie Chicken Tacos

This recipe is technically cheating because it involves no actual cooking. Swing by a grocery store and pick up a rotisserie roasted chicken for around $5, and you’ll have enough protein for the entire week. Spice up the recipe with frozen corn, black beans and rice.

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Crockpot dinner

This one is always a hit or miss. Take any and all ingredients that you currently have and throw them in a crockpot. You may create something that becomes an instant classic at your apartment, or a horrible mess.

Frozen pizza

If all else fails and even ramen looks a little too complicated at the moment, go for the frozen pizza.
