Starting in Spring Semester 2018, social and outdoor activities will be available to students along with events put on by the city.

Explorerexburg.com lists 50 things to do in Rexburg during spring, which include the Rexburg Farmer’s Market, the BYU-Idaho ropes course, ice caves, hiking R-Mountain, kayaking, Bear World, Heise Hot Springs and Frisbee golf. Here are six spring activities students can do in Rexburg:

1. Imazing

The BYU-Idaho Social Activities committee will host Imazing on April 22, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Crossroads in the Manwaring Center.

“Imazing race tests students’ knowledge about the campus; where things are located, facts about campus, that sort of thing,” said Sasha Giguiere, the student secretary of Student Activities.

2. Lip Sync Battle

The Crossroads will hold a Lip Sync Battle on April 23, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

3. A Drive-in movie

Teton Vu, a drive-in theater, is opening up for the spring the first weekend of April, with showings of Ready Player One and Tomb Raider.

Students can listen to the movie sound from a radio station in the car.

“Bring a portable speaker or radio. Instead of having to leave your car on, connect an iPod with radio capabilities to a Bluetooth speaker or download a radio app on your phone,” according to Explore Rexburg.

4. Teton Dam Marathon

The city of Rexburg is putting on The Teton Dam Marathon, including a marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5K, marathon relay, corporate relay and a kids race. The races will be on June 2. Registration is now open and will close May 31 at 6 p.m., according to Rexburg.com.

5. Rexburg Rapids

Rexburg Rapids will open from June 9 to August 25. This is a water park filled with a variety of slides and water activities.

6. Teton Lakes and Legacy golf course

The Teton Lakes and Legacy golf courses are open for reservations. Both are located in Rexburg.
