Idaho Falls man arrested for forgery and grand theft

IDAHO FALLS – Idaho Falls Police arrested 22-year-old Jessie R. Williams for forgery and grand theft on Friday, Oct. 9.

According to reports, officers received information that Williams had allegedly forged a stolen check to pay a taxi company for a ride to Pocatello.

The taxi company allegedly asked to file charges against Williams for unpaid taxi fare to Pocatello. The taxi company, after learning it was a forged checked, returned the check to the rightful owner, according to police reports.

Williams of Idaho Falls was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail for theft of services with a bail bond of $14,600 and will be arraigned Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 1:30 p.m.
