Idaho Falls man arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm

IDAHO FALLS – Idaho Falls Police arrested 40‐year‐old Brian J. Vincent for unlawful possession of a firearm on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 22.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Garfield, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, around 3 a.m. for report of a disturbance at a residence. During their contact, officers learned that Vincent, who is a convicted felon, was in possession of a firearm, according to reports.

Joelyn Hansen, spokeswoman for the IFPD, said the reporting party told police that Vincent was throwing things, and that he had a shotgun, though he had not threatened anyone with it. Whether or not he picked it up before police arrived is unclear.

Vincent of Idaho Falls was booked in the Bonneville County Jail.
