An Idaho Falls man was badly beaten early on Saturday in a suspected road rage incident, according to KPVI News 6.
Josh Olzak, 36, was driving home from the Peppertree Lounge with his friend Josh Loveless, according to The Idaho Statesman.
Three cars followed them and almost ran them off the road, according to Local News 8.
Olzak pulled the car to the side of the road, exited the car and was beaten unconscious by the followers.
Loveless received injuries to his jaw, according to The Idaho Statesman and Local News 8.
Olzak was admitted to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center on Saturday and declared clinically dead on Monday, according to Local News 8.
Olzak was an organ donor, so he was put on a ventilator Monday to keep his organs working for future transplant donation, according to The Idaho Statesman.
Olzak’s wife, Gabrielle, said he was the best man she had known and that she and her two children will not be the same without their husband and father, according to KPVI News 6.
The Idaho Falls Police Department sent out a release Tuesday stating it would continue to investigate the incident, according to Local News 8.
