The Spori Gallery is hosting a showcase of Brother Matthew Geddes’ mud sculptures and artwork. The opening reception for the exhibit was held on May 26.
The exhibit will be open to students and the public from May 27 to June 16.
“The Spori Gallery presents a retrospective exhibit of Matthew Geddes’, Playing in Mud,” according to the BYU-I website. “Revered ceramicist and sculptor Matt Geddes exhibits a spectacular array of his work from vessels, figures, portraits and class studies, chronicling his 33-year teaching career as he retires from BYU-Idaho.”
Matthew Geddes received a bachelor’s degree and an MFA from BYU, according to his profile page on the BYU-I website.
Matthew Geddes is currently teaching Introduction to the Visual Arts, Sculpture I, Intermediate and Advanced Sculpture, Travel Study in Europe and Special Projects, according to his profile page on the BYU-I website.
