Pop superstar, Prince, was found dead at his recording studio and estate, Paisley Park, in Minnesota Thursday, April 21, 2016, his publicist confirmed, according to The Associated Press.

No further details have been given by his publicist.

Prince was known for his originality in his music and his stunning performances throughout his career that lasted more than 35 years, according to The New York Times. Prince’s music has deeply influenced the genres of funk, rock and R&B.

In 2004, Prince was officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Prince released 39 albums during his career and won seven Grammy Awards. Some of his major hits include “Let’s Go Crazy” and “When Doves Cry.”
