President Boyd K. Packer dies at age 90

Boyd K. Packer, president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, died at home Friday, July 3, 2015, from causes incident to age, according to Mormon Newsroom.

President Packer was 90 years old.

President Packer has held the position of president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles since February 3, 2008, according to Mormon Newsroom.

“He was truly an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ,” said Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, according to Mormon Newsroom. “From the crown of his head to the soles of his feet, he represented the Savior of the world.”
