Rexburg Celebrates 86th Independence Day Parade

The Rexburg community set up chairs on main street the night before the 86th annual Independence Day parade. Every year Rexburg celebrates the Fourth of July with a parade, a day at the park, and a Whoopee Days rodeo.

Floats and other entries decorated according to this years  theme “Hat’s Off to Our Heroes.” Donna Benfield, President of the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce, prepared months in advance for the parade.

Benfield said every year the parade has at least 100 entries, with 7,000 to 10,000 audience members. In years to come the city can look forward to unique entries in the parade, Benfield said. This year there were synchronized lawn more performances, dancing workers from Ray’s Chevron, and even a toilet train from ServPro.
