The BYU-Idaho Department of Communication will host the 2015 Communication Summit, featuring 62 senior projects and 12 local businesses publicizing internship opportunities for current students, on Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the BYU-I Center.
The summit will include the presentation of senior projects to local business representatives, university administration and faculty members from the Department of Communication, and an internship fair to give current and graduating students the opportunity to network.
The Department of Communication has redesigned the past Senior Showcase into the new Communication Summit to give students and faculty members the opportunity to network with people and businesses outside of BYU-I, according to the press release from the Summit committee.
The new summit will not replace the Senior Showcase and Internship Fair, which were previously held at the end of each semester, but they will be combined to create a networking experience for students and faculty, according to the press release.
The Summit will include a closed door reception for those in attendance.
The internship fair will take place from 3-5 p.m., and the senior showcase from 4-6 p.m., according to the press release.
