Two males suspected of using meth at Centre Square Apartments

Rexburg Police responded to a call regarding drug use on Saturday, Oct. 3. at Centre Square Apartments.

Female residents and two male guests were celebrating a birthday at an apartment at Center Square Apartments on the BYU-Idaho campus. The two males in attendance–who were unidentified– allegedly went into one of the bathrooms that they were not supposed to use, according to police reports.

The female residents became suspicious about what was happening in the bathroom and knocked on the door to ask the two males what they were doing, said Captain Randy Lewis of the Rexburg Police Department. The males allegedly responded that they were just talking.

The roommates asked the males to leave, then reportedly found white-crystal powder on the sink and the floor and called the police, Lewis said.

Lewis said the responding officer used a kit to test the crystal powder which tested positive for methamphetamine.

The residents did not provide any identifiable information for the two males suspected of using the methamphetamine.
