It’s June which means it’s time for the NBA Finals. Here are five fun facts you need to know before the Cleveland Cavilers and the Golden State Warriors face off.

5. These teams are global. It’s an international affair as the Cavs and Warriors rosters are made up of 25 percent of foreign players.

4. It all comes down to the threes. It’s the first time ever that NBA finals feature teams that are ranked 1st and 2nd in three-pointers in the regular season. Since 2001, 14 of the last 15 finals have been won by the team with the better three-point shooting percentage.

3. The west is the best. 15 of the last 16 years the western conference has compiled a better record than the East and has won 9 of the last 14 finals.

2. Lebron is the best. The west may be the best but Lebron is going to a record 6 straight NBA finals. He will look to get his 3rd championship in the last 5 years. With a healthy Kyrie, and a little Love sprinkled in; Cleveland might just win their first NBA championship. It will be their first championship in any sport since 1964.

And the most important thing you need to know about the NBA championship is numero uno This will be the 4th year in a row and 7th of the last nine years where a number 1 seed will win it all. Who says it doesn’t pay to be number one.
