Multi-platinum pop trio AJR will perform at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls on June 26 as part of the band’s summer tour.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., according to the Mountain America Center website. Tickets range from $87 to $192.
Known for songs including “Bang!,” “Weak,” “Burn the House Down” and “Sober Up,” AJR has gained a large following— nearly 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify— for its blend of pop production, theatrical live performances and lyrics centered on growing up and navigating young adulthood.
Mountain America Center Marketing Manager Brynlee Howell said the concert represents an effort to bring more variety to eastern Idaho’s entertainment scene.
“AJR was a really exciting opportunity for us because we haven’t hosted many pop shows at the Mountain America Center,” Howell said. “Part of our goal is continuing to diversify the entertainment we bring to eastern Idaho, and AJR allows us to introduce something fresh to the market.”
Howell said the response since the announcement has been strong, particularly among younger audiences.
“We’ve seen a lot of excitement across social media and strong engagement from fans who have been asking for more contemporary pop and alternative acts in our market,” Howell said.

The arena, which regularly draws visitors from across Idaho and neighboring states, expects concertgoers to travel from Wyoming, Montana and Utah, in addition to eastern Idaho communities.
Howell also said BYU-Idaho students are expected to make up a significant portion of the audience.
“Having BYU–Idaho so close is a huge asset for events like this,” Howell said. “Students bring a lot of energy and excitement, and AJR is an artist that naturally connects with that audience.”
According to the band’s promotional materials and concert reviews, AJR’s live shows are known for elaborate visual production that incorporates lighting, video elements and theatrical effects alongside live music performances.
“Their shows combine music, visuals, lighting and theatrical elements in a way that creates a memorable and immersive experience,” Howell said.
Preparations for a national touring act involve coordination between arena operations, security, concessions, marketing and the band’s touring crew, Howell added.
“There’s a tremendous amount of planning involved,” she said. “Preparation starts well before show day and focuses on both the artist experience and delivering a great guest experience for fans.”
Beyond entertainment, Howell said large concerts can also benefit local businesses and tourism in Idaho Falls.
“Guests often visit local restaurants, hotels and businesses before and after shows, which helps support the local economy,” Howell said.
Howell recommends attendees arrive early and review venue policies ahead of the concert.
Tickets for the concert are available through Ticketmaster and the Mountain America Center box office.
