Imagine getting whatever you wanted delivered right to your door. A new business called, Get Me that Delivery is making this possible.
“Mostly we deliver fast food as our main thing, but we deliver a lot of groceries. We’ve delivered office supplies, cleaning supplies. We have regulars that order weekly or twice a week, sometimes even twice a day, which is funny,” said Cagney Merrill, owner and creator of Get Me That Delivery.
“It was kind of funny we were just sitting at home one day and I really wanted some sour patch kids, and I didn’t want to leave my house. And I looked at my wife and said man I wish we could have somebody who would just bring it to us, and that kind of sparked it. It seemed like the more we went around Rexburg we would notice kids taking their groceries from Broulims. Through talking realized that there’s quite a few people up here than don’t have cars, that come up without any transportation and that’s just kinda how it started, ” said Taylor Merrill, owner and creator of Get Me That Delivery.
They average about twenty-five to thirty orders daily and take orders via their website or app. With an average delivery time of 35 minutes, your delivery should be there soon.
“I think it’s a great idea because now there are more options to choose from. There’s not just pizza or sandwiches, I can have my favorite cookies or whatever delivered to me, and not a lot of people have cars so this is a really great option, ” said BreAnna Banta, a Junior studying Communication.
Get me that delivery helps a lot of Rexburg moms who have a hard time leaving the house, there’s even moms who use it outside of Idaho.
“There was a husband and wife that was sick and the mom ordered them soup. We brought it and knocked on the door and they were ‘like we have no idea who you are.’ And I was like ‘oh this is from you mom’. It was nice to see the people that got this stuff, how excited they were, how happy they were. Like that they didn’t have to leave or just how that helped them out,” said Taylor Mirrell.
