On Wednesday morning, the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced an end to the General Conference Saturday Evening Sessions, Church Newsroom reported.
This change will take effect in the next session of General Conference in April 2026, cutting from five to four two-hour sessions of conference. The Saturday Evening Session had previously been reserved for either the Priesthood Session or Women's Session until October 2021 when it shifted to a more generalized fifth session.
The Church said the end of the Saturday Evening Sessions will allow more emphasis for the morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
