Ballet Etude is performing a ballet gala this Saturday at the Romance Theater. The point of the gala is to fundraise for their efforts to teach kids and teenagers ballet. It's also to fund their upcoming performance of The Nutcracker.

“This particular show is actually inspired by Harry Potter, to tell you the truth,” said Kiersten Lewis, the Artistic Director. “And so, we have a number of dances that are using some music from the Harry Potter scores, which are incredible. They have beautiful music.”

Lewis also shared that even though they would have been able to do this event in the Uptown Event Center, they chose the Romance Theater instead. On top of that, they will be serving butterbeer with the hors d’oeuvres at the performance. Donations are also available.

“If you're coming to the event, we also have a giving tree for our scholarship funds,” said Madison Fujimoto, the assistant Artistic Director of the nonprofit. “So if that's something you'd be interested in donating to, that's an option. We also have a silent auction where we have had very generous businesses contribute gift cards and lots of different opportunities.”
