Wedding fashions set the tone of a wedding. There are so many different styles to choose from that no wedding is identical to another.
Alexis Gonzales, a sophomore studying elementary education, said
it is essential for the bride to feel like a princess.
“Most girls have their weddings planned out since they were little,” Gonzales said. “Weddings describe the cole. It’s a picture of their love story, and it makes each wedding different. Dresses may be the same, but the people that wear them are different.”
According to Mallory Recor, the editor from Style Me Pretty, brides define their weddings by what they wear.
Annika Morris-Kay, a sophomore studying nursing, said that a bride has to be comfortable on her wedding day.
“It’s her wedding, and if she is not confident in the dress, then the rest of the wedding will be a flop,” Morris-Kay said. “There are so many wedding dress styles to pick from, so it’s almost guaranteed that a bride will find something she likes, and she’ll be happy and confident.”
Elizabeth Davies, a writer for the bridal resource dictionary Dress Finder, said women try to make their wedding day special and unique with the dress style and their attitude.
“Women have tried to make their wedding dresses special to suit the festive occasion and to suit their personality,” Davies said. “To make a bride more beautiful, the style of her dress has to fit her perfectly. Then, she’ll beam with happiness.”
“The wedding style gives the bride a lot of power,” said Becca Brady, a freshman studying communication. “It gives the wedding more personality.”
She said personality and uniqueness is vital to the wedding.
“There are so many different wedding styles,” Brady said. “It makes each wedding different. The little details
make a wedding more personal, unique and special.”
