BYU-Idaho offers the chance to play golf by sponsoring a 4-person scramble tournament on Wednesday, May 17, from 12-6 p.m. at the Teton Lakes Golf Course in Rexburg.

“I think it will be fun that it will be outside and it should hopefully be beautiful weather,” said Megan Kerr, student director overseeing the tournament. “Golf is a much more low-key relaxing sport so it will be fun to have a slower-pace, chill, fun tournament.”

Being a scramble tournament, each team’s players will hit from the tee box, then the team members will choose the best of the four shots. All team members will then play the second shot from there, and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed — through all 18 holes.

After the team completes the round, the team captain will email their score to Kerr, and a winner will be announced shortly after.

Registration for all sports is available on the BYU-I website. Registration for the golf tournament closes Friday, May 12, at 10 a.m.
