On Oct. 31, students from the BYU Jerusalem Center are returning home after evacuating to Greece due to the Israel-Palestine conflict.

After the recent update on the Jerusalem Center, which announced that the remaining students and staff were sent to Athens to increase safety measures from the war, Jerusalem Center Security Updates stated that students will be returning home.

On Oct. 15, the evacuated students and faculty arrived in Athens. They left local employees and other staff members such as Eran Hayet, the JC Executive Director; Tawfic Alawi, JC Associate Director; Tarek Safadi, Head of JC Security.

According to Jerusalem Center Security Updates, “These beloved and trusted individuals and families — Israelis and Palestinians — remain in harm’s way. We ask that you pray for their safety and well-being.”
