BYU-Idaho Scroll and the political science department will host a political info panel on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The panel aims to help students navigate the election season and political discussions.
The event will be held in room 147 of the Thomas E. Ricks Building from 5-6:30 p.m.
Political science professors will answer questions asked by students previously and live at the event. Chester Chan, editor-in-chief of Scroll, will moderate the discussion.
“As a student, I can really get intimidated by the current state of politics,” said Amberleigh Broker, the multimedia editor of Scroll and organizer of the event. “I want to be informed, but sometimes struggle … That’s the purpose of this event. We will be teaching students about media literacy and how to positively engage with politics.”
Popcorn and soda will be provided.
