The Watermelon Waddle was hosted at Porter Park on June 27.
Nursing students at BYUI partnered with local nonprofits, including The Family Crisis Center, North Folk Counseling Center, and Eastern Idaho Public Health, to launch the Watermelon Waddle event.
"In your fourth semester, you take a class called Population Health, and so we have to do a community project where we find a discrepancy or disparity in the community, and then we find resources, and we go through the community to try and find resources," Kyra Burnham, a BYUI student, said.
