Center Stage will be hosting comedian Shaun Johnson on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the John W. Hart Auditorium.

Johnson, best known for stand-up, improv and social media presence, will be joining Center Stage as part of his Big Kid Tour.

Tanner Christensen, Center Stage's entertainment promoter, said students will be familiar with his social media content, and that audience members can expect a high-energy and interactive night.

"Students can expect a very interactive and unpredictable show," Christensen said. "Shaun blends improv and stand-up in a way that keeps the audience engaged the entire time, so no two performances are ever exactly the same."

Christensen added that the show will be full of laughs and a fun, shared experience with friends, and he believes Johnson is someone who naturally brings joy and connection to a room.

"This is a great opportunity to take a break from the routine of classes and enjoy a night out with friends," Christensen said. "Events like this create memorable moments, and Shaun's style of comedy makes it easy for everyone to feel included and have a good time."

Christensen mentioned that this is Johnson's third time coming to BYU-Idaho. Johnson performed as Pharaoh in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and as the MC for Power 2 Become. Christensen said it's been fun bringing both Johnson and his opener, Steve Soelberg, back for a show.

Tickets can be purchased at the BYU Idaho University Store or online at Center Stage's website.
