BYU-Idaho will host a free community watch party for the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square's historic "Songs of Hope" concert at the Hollywood Bowl on June 26. The event will take place at the BYUI Stadium and is open to the public.

Activities, games and food trucks will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the concert broadcast at 7 p.m., and organizers say the first 2,500 attendees will receive vouchers for participating food trucks.

The Hollywood Bowl performance marks 100 years since the Tabernacle Choir first appeared at the iconic Los Angeles venue in 1926. The concert is part of the choir's worldwide "Songs of Hope" tour and will feature guest performers including Donny Osmond, David Foster, Katherine McPhee, Stephanie J. Block, Sebastian Arcelus and the Bonner Family. Concert proceeds will benefit charities serving women and children, with donations matched by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

According to organizers, the Rexburg event will also include family-friendly activities coordinated by BYUI student groups. Derrick Porter, announcer for the choir's weekly broadcast "Music and the Spoken Word," is expected to speak during the event.

Admission is free, and community members are encouraged to attend with family and friends.
