The Deseret Book in Rexburg hosted four popular Shadow Mountain authors at a joint book signing Friday.

The book signing, coordinated by the Shadow Mountain Publishing house, brought Julie Wright, Sian Ann Bessey, Rebecca Anderson and Josi S. Kilpack together for one night. Before the event even started, fans eagerly waiting to have their books signed formed a line.

Each of the authors advertised their newest book release at the event:

• Wright's Wendy's Ever After,
• Bessey's The Maid of Sherwood Forest
• Anderson's Whispers of Shadowbrook House
• Kilpack's Someone Is After Lulu Dupree.

After the book signing, fans socialized and met the authors of their favorite books.

Wright shared a little of her journey as an author and the books that she had at the event.

"I love being a writer because I get to hang out with people who I respect and admire and just love so much, and it's exciting to spend time with them," Wright said, referring to her fellow authors present.

Wright traveled on the day of the event, driving from St. George to Rexburg. Anderson and Kilpack also traveled to the event, with Besey being the only author local to Rexburg.

Wright recommends An Inconvenient Letter or Wendy's Ever After for readers new to her books.

Lauren Bezas, a local, has read books from all four authors. Bezas was holding a place in line for her sister, who is also a fan of the authors' work.

Bezas appreciates that the four authors write in a variety of genres and styles.

"There's some authors out there, like, 'This is all I write,' and [these four authors] all have books from more than one genre," said Bezas.

Bezas found out about the event via Facebook and was excited to see all four authors at the same event.

As the night progressed, more and more fans entered the line to meet the authors, keeping a lively atmosphere late into the night.
