Devotional preview: Samuel Brubaker

This week is BYU-Idaho’s Spirit Week. There will be many activities, events and opportunities to meet fellow students and build new relationships. To help kick it off, Brother Sam Brubaker, managing director of student success, will be giving a special devotional.

Brother Brubaker has been working at BYU-I for 10 years. Last semester he accepted the job of student success managing director. In this position, he oversees the Advising Department, first-year experience and the mentoring programs.

For students to prepare for this devotional, he paraphrased a quote by Sister Susan Bednar.

“‘Did you come to BYU-Idaho so BYU-I could change you or so that you could change BYU-I?'” Brubaker said. “The devotional will be about disciples of Jesus Christ. I think students will find that BYU-I has a heritage and deep capacity to develop disciples of Christ.”

This devotional will be held at the BYU-Idaho Center on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 11:30 a.m. Stick around after for free ice cream at the courts.
