Battle of the Dance delighted audiences this past Friday. With their exceptional routines, performers enthusiastically moved to the beat.
“You know, when I hear that music, I just feel like dancing,” said Brenton Winburn, dance member of Bangarang Crew. “And that, that’s what drives me. When I hear that music, there is just an urge to dance. With battle of the dance, I think the hardest thing is just to decide where you want to go with it.”
“We incorporated different styles of dance that we each had strengths in because we wanted to grow together and learn together,” said Jacob Rosen, dance member of Conspiracy Theory. “If I’m exposed to something new, it helps me grow. It helps me think and see from a new perspective. My style of dancing is more breakdancing and popping.”
“What stood out to me is that just all of the coles that came on we able to, I don’t know, portray romance through dance,” said Phalon Smith, a Junior studying Ecology. “I thought that was really sweet. It was really cool.”
