It is that time of year for Extravadance! Extravadance is a theater and dance production that features BYU-I students. This semesters Extravadance featured BYU-I’s dance alliance and BYU-I’s collegiate dancers. Both teams offered different skills to Exravadance. Each semester the show has a different theme this years theme was words. The performance had a wide range of dances to represent places all over the world and a diversity of genre and music to appeal to everyone who came to Extravadance. The dancers did an amazing job combining culture, genre, and words into dances for the audience to enjoy.
“We have been practicing really hard and we all really love dancing and for us its just having fun” says barker
There were various world pieces and the different teams with strong numbers that glued the show together.
“My favorite dance is the Hungarian dance, the dance alliance does, and they also have this hip hop jive that is very sassy and i really love it!” Says barker
The dancers showed of their technical strengths by learning different genres of dance and taking the opportunity to share their talents with fellow BYU-I students. The show was a big hit with great reviews from students and the community. Extravadance sold out yet again this semester.
