The Primary election for Idaho is on March 8, the polls open at 8 a.m., and they close at 8 p.m., according to Brenda Stoor the Elections Clerk.

Here is what you need to know about the Primary Election.

1. Where do I vote?

Where you vote depends on your address. Go to look for the Department tab, then on the Elections tab and enter in your address, here is a link to the Web page.

Let us know who you are voting for by taking our poll.

If you are having trouble finding your address, contact the Clerk’s office at 208-359-6200, give them your address and they can help you.

2. What if I want to vote in my home state?

If you would rather vote in the state you came from and not Idaho you have to turn in an Absentee Ballot. This also applies to you if you are registered in Idaho but are out of state. If you visit the Madison County website under “Idaho Votes,” there is a link with a PDF of an Absentee Ballot, which can also be found here.

“Everything is posted on our website,” Stoor said. “If they need help please have them call here. We do want to make their voting experience a pleasant one.”
