The International Cinema Society is showing a movie for free at the Jacob Spori Building in room 035 on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The movie, Happy Times, hails from China. It’s about a man who struggles with finding love, until one day he finds the woman of his dreams by telling her that he’s wealthy. Now he has to provide a wedding that is far beyond his budget.

For 20 years, the ICS has held these events to spread awareness of the values and experiences of other cultures. They play comedies, animations, histories, dramas and every other genre of movie. After the film, there’s a short Q&A session for attendees to explain what happened in the film and to gain more insight from the movie.

“It’s a great opportunity for you to see a new film not in theaters or at home and it’s free,” said Michael Cornick, a coordinator of the event.
