A rollover crash involving an SUV and RV trailer blocked traffic on U.S. Highway 20 near milepost 332 on Tuesday, according to the Rexburg Police Department Facebook page.
According to police, the southbound 333 on-ramp was closed and traffic was rerouted onto Main Street, leading to heavy congestion.
“Main Street is congested near the highway, and there is no access to the highway at the southbound 333 on-ramp. Traffic is being rerouted off the highway onto Main Street,” the department said in a statement.
One person was injured in the crash. Police have not released the identity of the individual, and no deaths have been reported.
Officials have updated the website stating that lanes are back open.
The crash occurred in Madison County, a busy corridor for commuters and travelers. No further details about the cause of the crash or the condition of the injured person were immediately available.
