The Idaho Fish and Game announced in a press release Thursday that Warm Slough has been changed from its previous 10-day camping limit to a day-use only site.

Feb. 1 through Sept. 30, Warm Slough is only open during the day, and camping is prohibited.

Outside of those dates, it will resume its 10-day camping limit.

"This decision was made with public safety in mind, as there has been misuse of the site, including exceeding the 10-day camping limit, vandalism, garbage, drug use, abandoned vehicles/campers, and other disorderly conduct after daylight hours," according to the Idaho Fish and Game.

Bathrooms and boat ramps will remain accessible, but the Fish and Game stated they do not have the resources or personnel available for 24/7 patrol of the site necessary for camping.

Warm Slough is located about 5 miles north of Highway 33 along the Henry’s Fork River.
