Peak Pasta, a new Integrated Business Core (IBC) student-run company, recently opened in the BYU-Idaho Crossroads.
Peak Pasta offers different types of pastas and sauces, including classic marinara, Alfredo, lemon garlic and creamy rosé.
The pasta sells for about $5, and the portions come in 7-inch pans and have eight ounces of pasta and sauce.

Along with pasta, they also sell garlic bread, freshly made the night before. When a garlic bread order is received, it is put in a toaster right before being placed on the plate.
Peak Pasta focuses on homemade, fresh food.
Sage Erickson, a senior in business management and CEO of Peak Pasta, said that all the food is homemade and that they take the time each morning to prepare it for customers. All the recipes have been "created by [the] team with the school."

Alexis Mathias, a senior in business management and the Chief Marketing Officer for Peak Pasta, said the first week has been pretty chaotic because sales have been much higher than the company's projections. They sold to 164 people at their grand opening, and on February 2, which was their soft opening, they sold to 72 people.
Erickson confirmed this and said that the sales "blew [them] out of the water."
Peak Pasta is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays, they are open from noon to 3 p.m.
