POLICE LOG: Individual calls to report a stolen dog

The following comes from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Rexburg Police Department police logs and is public record.

Customer physical contact

“Police were dispatched to a call where unwanted physical contact had occurred between a customer and an employee at a business. The employee had been physically contacted by a customer. Police made contact with the employee and customer. The customer was cited for battery and trespassed from the business.”

Getaway cart

“Police were called to the area of Walmart for report of two females that pushed shopping carts of un-purchased items out of the store. Both females ran from Asset Protection. Police arrived and located both suspects. Police recovered all of the stolen items. Both suspects were arrested without further incident. Both suspects were charged with burglary. One suspect had an active warrant and was additionally charged with providing false information.”

Fake piano tuner

“Police received information regarding an individual offering to do piano tunings. The individual has prior arrests for going into homes to tune pianos and stealing property and medications. The reporting person does not have a piano, and is working with the LDS church regarding the misuse of church resources, no crimes were committed. No report requested, this is for documentation and information at this time.”

Road rage

“A female called police after a road rage incident where someone followed and stopped and yelled at her. She was safe inside her vehicle but was shaken by the persons anger towards her. No information on the suspect or vehicle.”

Stolen dog

“Police responded to a report of a dog that was stolen from a vehicle that was parked in a business parking lot. Police are investigating this theft.”
