Power was restored to campus at 10:00 this morning. Many students went onto campus to get warm and even to get access to the internet. Morning classes were canceled, but they will resume at 12:45.
Rocky Mountain Power and Bonneville Power Administration have asked some local power companies to shed electric loads due to a problem with the transmission system. A circuit breaker in a sub-station near Firth, ID is the cause of the outage. More than 40,000 people are without power.
