Looking to make a difference? BYU-Idaho’s blood drive on Friday runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at BYU-Idaho Center on court two. Donating blood is a simple and each donation can save up to three lives.
Each day, many patients depend on blood donations for surgeries, treatments, and emergencies.
Whether it’s helping a cancer patient, assisting with trauma care, or supporting someone in need of surgery, every donation can have a life-changing impact.
By giving just one hour of their time, donors can make a difference that is long-lasting.
How to donate
Visit www.redcrossblood.org and search using zip code 83460 to select a donation time. Spots are available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., so be sure to schedule early to secure a preferred time.
What to expect
After arriving at the BYU-Idaho Center, Red Cross staff will guide donors through the process. Then, after completing a quick health screening, they will donate blood, which usually takes about ten minutes.
Once finished, enjoy a light snack to replenish your energy and relax before heading back to the day.
Trever Howe, a BYUI sophomore, mentioned why donating means so much to him.
“I donate blood to help save lives because I believe that a small act of kindness can make a big difference. I’m looking forward to donating this week,” said Howe.
Why donate
Blood is always in high demand, and donor contributions ensure hospitals can continue providing life-saving care. By donating, they offer hope to patients who depend on the generosity of others. This act of kindness can inspire others and help create a stronger community bond.
This is a chance to be a hero on March 7.
