The BYU-Idaho College of Language and Letters and the Political Affairs Society are holding a special student forum this Thursday, Dec. 4, with Sister Jean Bingham and Brother Bruce Bingham to discuss their experiences working with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the European Union.

The forum will take place at the Gordon B. Hinckley Chapel from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Sister Bingham was the 17th General Relief Society President from 2017 to 2022. According to Church News, Sister Bingham was active in international relations from the beginning of her calling.

"Less than two weeks after she was sustained as Relief Society general president, she addressed a faith-based panel discussion at the United Nations, expressing hope that faith-based organizations 'will all work together through small and simple means to accomplish extraordinary things,'" Church News said.

Jean Bingham and her husband have been working with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the European Union as Government Relations Representatives. During the forum, they will share the experiences they have had in this role.
