The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho (TAM) will host award-winning Idaho author Patti Sherlock for a book signing and discussion of her new middle-grade novel, "The Nectar Collector," on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 2-4 p.m.

"The Nectar Collector" follows Alenya, a honeybee who must lead her colony to safety after wildfire smoke and a bear attack destroy their hive.
A blend of adventure, science and environmental themes, the book offers young readers ages 8-12 an engaging look into the world of pollinators and resilience in nature.
The event complements TAM’s current exhibition, Art & the Animal, which celebrates wildlife through paintings and sculptures — including a featured work depicting honeybees.
The exhibit is sponsored by Green Kids Club, a nonprofit organization that promotes environmental education and wildlife conservation.
Sherlock, an Idaho-based writer known for "Letters from Wolfie" and "Some Fine Dog," will share insights about her inspiration, research and the process of bringing Alenya’s story to life.
Visitors can meet the author, ask questions and purchase signed copies of "The Nectar Collector" (12 Willows Press).
Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
