Date night, devotional, helicopters and masquerade balls all contributed to a busy week at BYU-Idaho.
Sister Kathy Webb, the executive assistant to President Gilbert, spoke at devotional on Oct. 18 about how to pursue happiness.
She said her formula for happiness included following the Savior, being positive and serving others.
“Choosing to be happy is the choice to serve others,” Webb said. “When you choose to be happy, you will feel light growing within you.”
On Wednesday night, students attended Date Night with the Gilberts. Unlike previous Date Night activities, this included a new service oriented theme.
The Gilberts thought that a service activity would be more meaningful than simply going out to a movie or dinner.
“Once you do something meaningful with someone, you see them in a new light.” said President Gilbert.
Army blackhawk helicopters landed on campus Friday morning to transport ROTC cadets to a two-day training.
A masquerade ball was also held in the John W. Hart Gym on Friday night.
