With the Ser bowl this Sunday students at BYU-Idaho are getting very excited to see who will win this ultimate showdown. The Denver Broncos or the Seattle Seahawks. I went around asking students what kind of traditions they have for this big game and what they will be doing this Sunday.
“My family is really big into the ser bowl,” said Sydney Sanders, a freshman studying elementary education. “So we are all together at my aunts house. We cook wingers, wings, and the cheese dipping sauce. We cook about everything; we have it a full course meal.”
“Usually I like to watch it by myself,” says Garrett Brock, a junior study business management. “I am actually one of those guys who gets pretty intense into sports and I like to focus. I don’t like having a lot of people around that don’t know football very well and so I actually like a kind of peaceful quiet ser bowl so I can kind of analyze the game as it is going along.”
Though many students have different traditions for Ser Bowl Sunday, I also wanted to know which team they wanted to win.
“I want the Broncos to wins,” says Kylie Goodwin, a freshman with an undecided major. “Because I’m from Denver, I bleed blue. I am all for the Broncos. Love those guys. Peyton Manning, hey you gotta love manning.”
“Well I’m actually a Manning and I will be going for the Seahawks because, I’m from Alaska and we don’t have a football team, but Washington is the nearest state,” stated Madison Manning, a freshman studying communications.
“I want the Seahawks to win,” stated Chris Isaac, a freshman studying communications. “I really love their intensity and their love for the game.”
“It’s a tough one but I want the Bronco’s to win,” stated Michael O’Neal, a sophomore studying communications. “I like Peyton Manning, I think he deserves one more ring.”
Overall the school seems very divided as to who they want to win the Ser Bowl this weekend. Best of luck to both teams in the Ser Bowl. As for me, I will be rooting for the Seahawks. This is Andrew Parry reporting for Scroll Digital.
