The atmosphere was light and friendly as locals visited booths, enjoying what each vendor had to offer. This included farm-fresh eggs, gluten-free cookies, local raw honey and handmade jewelry.

With plenty of space for people to spread out, individuals spent time sitting on the grass and enjoying the sun, while others roamed around accepting samples to snack on. 

Daniel Heaney, a sophomore studying graphic design at BYU-Idaho, says he’s been anxiously awaiting for the farmers market to arrive.

“The local honey I get each spring really helps with my allergies,” Heaney said.

This will not be the only chance to attend what seems to be a happening event in the heart of Rexburg. The farmers market will appear every Friday until October from 4-8 p.m. This will include new vendors and special events to check out and enjoy.
